Why there's no public rate card
An hour of Remote Hands isn't one product. A fibre splice at 3am in a Frankfurt facility and a scheduled cable audit on a Tuesday are different jobs with different costs, and any published number would be wrong for one of them. So we quote instead — and we quote fast.
You get a quote within one business day, with the rate, the minimum, and any out-of-hours premium stated up front and fixed for the engagement. What you will never get is a surprise on the invoice.
What shapes your rate
- Remote or on site — on-site work carries travel, coordination and callout risk.
- When it happens — nights, weekends and public holidays are billed at a premium, and the engineer is paid more for them too.
- How fast you need someone — an emergency callout prices differently from scheduled work.
- Committed volume — agree monthly hours up front and the rate drops.
The billing rules, in plain terms
- Billed to the minute, with a 15-minute spill rule — not rounded up to the next half hour. A ten-minute reboot is a ten-minute reboot.
- Two-hour minimum for on-site callouts (30 minutes remote). Someone drove to your facility; that time is real.
- Travel included inside the engineer's stated working radius. Beyond it, travel is itemised as an expense, never buried in the rate.
- Hours are reviewed before they're billed, and you can dispute any invoice in one click.
What's always included
- Ticket management with per-job chat and file attachments
- Automatic invoice generation — engineer payouts and customer billing, numbered and rendered to PDF
- Margin and cost visible per job and per invoice
- E-signed agreements (MSA, NDA) with archived, auditable documents
- Hours tracked to the minute with a 15-minute billing spill rule
- Customer and engineer management, and invoice dispute handling
Common questions
Do engineers pay anything?
No — not a joining fee, not a subscription, not a commission. Engineers keep 100% of their agreed rate. Worgen's economics sit on the customer side of the engagement and are agreed before work starts.
Do customers pay to post tickets?
No. Posting work, running the platform, chat, documents and invoicing are all included. You pay for performed, reviewed hours at your contracted rate.
How does this compare with a facility's own smart-hands desk?
In-facility desks commonly bill in the region of $200–350 per hour and round to 30-minute blocks. We're typically a fraction of that, billed to the minute — and we can reach sites a single provider's own staff don't cover.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. Engagements run under a master agreement you can conclude per project, and either party can wind down with notice. Committed-hours plans are optional and exist only because they earn you a lower rate.
What does the partner-team subscription include?
The full platform for your own team and clients: ticketing, scheduling, agreements and e-signature, hours, and automatic invoicing on both sides — including subcontracted work, where billing re-chains automatically between teams. Talk to us and we'll set it up.
